Just kidding

What is the hardest part when writing a book? The title!

In my last blog post (sorry its been a min btw), I told you I had a working title for the sequel of my debut novel, “Blood in the Water.” While this wasn’t a lie, I need to stress the keyword here is ‘working.’ I’m not going to reveal that title to you at this time but long story short, I’ve rethought my title, and I’ve been agonizing over it for weeks.

Though it may seem like such a small part of my books content, it’s the first impression for readers. You want them to be like “ooh, that sounds interesting,” pick up the book from a shelf or click a link and look further. As much as we like to press, “don’t judge a book by its cover,” it’s something we all do (especially since the growth of online book shopping and Booktok).

So unfortunately, my only update at the moment, feels more like a set back. But it probably makes me a better writer to take these smaller details so seriously.

Stay tuned! ❤
